Homophobia was in a similar place in the U.S. and the gays fought it by being flamboyant (which is why we celebrate Stonewall with flamboyant Pride parades every year). You aren't going to change things by conforming and accepting the rules.

Also, I get that you're just trying to help the victims by giving them advice to try and not incite homophobic people, but you have to realize that it's entirely the fault of the aggressor and not the victim. This is not even remotely close to the worst of it. They regularly attack satellite countries that branched off from the U.S.S.R. and/or Communism (or are too small to fight back). At one point Russia's government was killing hundreds of Georgians a day.

Lies. Our country NEVER attacks satellite coutries. We help them a lot. Georgia started the war with South Ossetia and Abkhazia. That was never shown on US TV but that's true. Remember Amanda Kokoeva who tried to tell the truth? If not, google her.

I make an effort to understand other cultures and other ways to see things, but I just can't. This world is a horrible place if you don't belong to a certain group and this is awful. In certain places you can't be gay because you'll be harassed or even worse put in prison or killed, all legally. Why? Just because. In some of these countries you can't say you don't have a religion because you'll get killed. You have to believe what everyone else believes in even if it's crap. And that is horrible. I am tolerant of other religions and cultures but no, this is no right, and those places are primitive. I'm not degrading their culture or traditions, I am aware that the situation is far more complex than that, and I do not want to appear to be biased toward Western countries (and Japan?) but they are just backwards. They haven't seen the light, they haven't seen progress........Ugh, rant is over.

I am thankful I don't live there, though where I come from the situation isn't that good either. Heck, even in the US LGBT people face a lot of discrimination, but things seem to slowly get better. I wish this country was as secular as the Czech Republic sometimes.

This video was painful to watch. I don't know how Youtube allows people to post those kind of videos.

I was referring to the videos that people post abusing LGBT people, not to this video, whose function is to inform us of the situation. This video is good, it allows people to know how bad the situation is.

I'm talking about religion. I think that if I oppose discrimination of gays, some people say that that is just part of their religion and to be honest I do not feel like attacking their (wrong) beliefs.
