It was a great performance but again, not the highlight of the night. I was also there, in Radio City. 6th row, chairs away from Katy Perry and P!nk. The atmosphere was absolutely charged after Kanye's little stint. THAT was the highlight. THAT was the most memorable event of the night. And I love GaGa and that performance.

The fact that most of the people who voted yes have "hausof" or "monster" in their username proves this quote correct:
Quote:
Her performance is not memorable... I'm being honest... no one but her fans remembers that performance .. maybe the meat dress but not the performance.

I agree, the only thing memorable about Gaga is the meat dress

Exactly.
Show me an awards show with more than 1 truly memorable moment then we'll talk.

I didn't say the Paparazzi performance wasn't memorable. I said it wasn't the biggest event of the night.
Thanks for quoting me though, Lyzz. Love you too.

The bottom line is no. It wasn't remembered, it wasn't covered and it got no pick up from any media outlet after the performance aired. None of the entertainment talk shows like Extra, Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonight talked about her performance. Even online sites didn't even reference it. The performances most people talked about were Janet's tribute to her brother Micheal, Beyonce's Single Ladies performance and Jay-Z's performance with Lil Mama and Alicia Keys. She was overlooked that year completely and no one remembered her performance. People were far more interested in the Taylor Swift, Kanye drama. Gaga was not talked about at all that night. Why are the monsters trying so hard with this?

Maybe not if you say 'Lady Gaga VMA 2009', but if you show them a picture of Gaga bleeding to death most of them will recognize it. Same for the Britney snake.

Yes,in every way. It's an iconic performance and trust me,I don't throw that word like it doesn't mean ****.And the fact that whether it's memorable or not is still frequently discussed after years pretty much proves it.But ofcourse, there can be more than oine memorable incidents in one night, and there are.

The point is we're still talking about this performance 3 years later and it's a hit thread.
I'm done
