Well it wasn't a change. They just made the trend bigger. Wasn't that an increase?
I didn't even say that The Black Eyed Peas changed the game. I said they made the trend Britney Spears started bigger
Gaga did nothing

I don't think she changed the game, but she definitely raised the bar for the pop girls. It made them try harder, because they didn't wanna be overtaken by the new pop girl (no shade, but see Xtina).
She also was a major player in making dance music POPULAR. Madonna, Britney, and BEP gets credit for that too though.

Although Madonna did do it before, she stopped way back in 2000 and she was the only one doing it. Gaga helped fuel the big explosion of pop, which consequently birthed albums like Animal, Loud, and even Femme Fatale

She's evidently giving her fans the music they want though *side eyes record sales + tour gross*... and instead of telling us not to worry about your contradictory username, why don't you take your own advice and stop worrying about an artist you claim to hate so much...

She changed the game but in a very bad way. Every one became plastic. Adele made things real again.

No, not really. She may have helped the dancepop trend, but other than that, nothing.

its obvious.
why is it that as soon as she came out,
every pop girl became interested in high fashion, dark pop/dance.
sure Gaga may have not started it, but she sure as hell took over and gave direction.

how? dance music has always been relevant and who dresses like gaga besides nicki minaj?
if gaga never released another album she would be forgotten quickly.

Dance music wasn't really relevant when Just Dance was released seeing as that style of music was BARELY being played on US radio. Ryan Seacrest said that himself.

Maybe thanks to her some artists decided to be a bit "creative" and stuff but what she have done, I already saw many artists doing the same and I mean the clothing style and the music.

Undoubtedly, yes. She came along and injected LIFE back into the industry and made it fun again. She also made music videos an event again and her every move has become an event as well, keeping people wondering what she's going to do or wear next.
She's also the only female pop star who brought art back into mainstream while being a performance artist.

These. If she didn't change the game, she MOST DEFINITELY raised the bar.

Why should we give her credit for something that was being done before her and by people that influenced her? I may agree that she's the popstar the took avant-garde outfits/presention to most extreme, but that doesn't give her the glory .

The "Nothing Really Matters" and "Frozen" videos come to mind. But the stuff Jean Paul Gaultier did for Madonna in the late 80s/ early 90s were very avant-garde for the time.

No one is saying she did anything new or did anything first. The fact is that she made things interesting again and that is changing the game.
