No. They've never had an entertainer as POTY. It's usually a political figure or religious leader; sometimes scientists or business moguls.

She became the first female in American history to be on the top of a major national ticket for presidency and she earned more votes than any white male in the history of running for the presidency
She overcame a lot. She may have not gotten the full prize but she did so much this year that she isn't given enough credit for. What she did probably won't be repeated or passed for decades to come

I'm glad the headline isn't a praise-y mess.

Hillary should have been on the cover in my opinion. First female to be the nominee of a major US political party, first female to win the most votes in a US presidential election, second most voted for candidate in American history, soon to be recipient of second most votes in a single election in American history, first candidate in US history to lose presidency with over a million vote lead (it's up to 2.65 million as of now and still growing FYI) in the popular vote, etc. Plus, didn't they endorse her? Sure, it might be perceived as a conflict of interest, but we absolutely cannot normalize a Trump presidency, which things like this do.
I get why they're doing this, to be objective since Trump was admittedly everywhere this year (though I wish I could say otherwise) and since he's projected to win the election, but I at least hope they make it clear that he made the cover because of that and not because of him as a person, because I feel like a lot of people will naturally assume that.

SJWs are the ones who want to take away people's freedoms.
I support gay marriage and sex changes and abortion. But I support science as well (so I believe males and females are biologically different and that you can't just invent genders and sexual orientations and FORCE everybody else to accept them). I also support equality, so I don't believe in there being different rules for people of different races (e.g. cultural appropriation, quotas, etc.). I also don't believe having sex when drunk or having sex and regretting it counts as rape... SJWs are evil and deluded. Sorry. And I don't think Amy Schumer is beautiful or funny. She's useless. She shouldn't be famous.
I did like Bernie Sanders a lot, but once I heard him say "White people don't know what it's like to be poor", he went down in my estimations a lot because obviously he'd been pandering to SJWs. But deep down I still like him, I probably would have supported him to win over someone like Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio, since they would have pandered to the SJWs just as much (if not more).
No offense, but you are obviously one of those people who simply votes for the most left-wing candidate that has a chance at winning, or the candidate who seems least sexist, racist, homophobic, etc. It's pathetic. You probably decide who you vote for in a matter of seconds in each election. I bet the moment Donald Trump said he wants to build a wall you decided you wouldn't vote for him under any circumstances, just like the rest of the SJWs. Open your mind.
Even as recently as 3 years ago I never in a million years would have believed I would support a Republican, but here I am. The world has changed a lot since then with the rise of SJWs, and Democrats have absolutely no plans whatsoever to counter them, if anything, they would actively support them (especially Hillary, and Bernie largely ignores the SJW movement but he showed on a couple of occasions he can be bullied by them into changing his views).

Absolutely NOT. I am a registered democrat but would EASILY vote republican to block a democrat from the white house had they displayed the actions T**** has. No question about it, I'm not a blind sheep. I would rather someone with knowledge on how to run a country be elected president, regardless of political affiliation, rather than someone who has no idea what they're doing, making false (and ignorant) promises to uneducated and disenfranchised people around the country, allowing a cabinet actively believing in conspiracy theories to run the country he can't.
Gald that you support some measures of equality, but I think you should learn to let people live as they please, it certainly doesn't affect you ![:)](http://www.atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/smile.gif) Let them label themselves as whatever gender they want, they're not out there saying you need to accept them. They only want to live their lives without threats/the potential of physical/emotional harm. Not that hard to digest. Same goes for making fun of another culture, though I really don't want to sit here and argue with you all day. Won't change either of our opinions.
Just gotta make it clear that I'm not some partisan sheep who blindly supports someone due to their political party. ![:)](http://www.atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Why are people surprised? ![huh?](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/7be5c36a.gif) Are ATRLers really that dumb not to understand what Person of the Year means?
Edit: Reading through the thread and people saying Hillary should have been POT ![psyduck](images/smilies/images/smilies/psyduck.gif) this forum ![skull](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/faces/skull_zpsksni5fmm.gif)

Wait so voting based on perceived racism and homophobia is "pathetic", yet here you are voting based on "SJWs made me mad so I'm protesting them!!!!" ![ahh](images/smilies/images/smilies/ahh.gif) you're not one to lecture anyone on proper values when voting sis, simmer down.
Let alone the fact you switched from far left Bernie to far right Trump in a matter of seconds. You must have some deeply held beliefs there
