Do they play similarly to Symphonia? I tried Abyss on the 3DS and didn't really care for it. That may just be a control issue though.

I only got 1/4 of the way through Abyss on 3ds.
It reaffirms my belief that Action RPG just doesn't work on handhelds.
Case and point, Chain of Memories, it was really fun don't get me wrong, but the whole thing just felt so trite and like a complete waste of time in the end.

Anyway, I'm v close to getting Platinum in Ni No Kuni, I'm at 80 hrs rn

Abyss was my first tales of game, played it on the ps2 doe.
Not a fan of action oriented games on handhelds.

The only one close to Symphonia is Vesperia. Graces has a completely different fighting system and Xillia has elements from both.

Some people didn't like the direction Dark Cloud 2 went so maybe they weren't sure if it was worth it.

Legend of Dragoon remains being treated like the red-headed stepchild of the PS1 RPG library.

Dart (the protaganist) was supposed to be a DLC character alongside Abe from the Oddworld series in PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale, but their DLC was cancelled right before release because of substandard sales.

Hopefully if there ever is a PSASB 2, they'll both be on the main roster.

So basically humans are tanks/melee, and heavenly tribe members are ranged casters.

Laila and the other umbrella girl are so cute
