As long as Gaga can make a creative comeback, then everything will fall into place. I don't care where she charts, while I can see as to how the music she has released this era hasn't made much of an impact (it is dated, and not in a good way). GUY is an epic video, her best, and I can clearly see that Gaga isn't out of ideas. Now if only her music matched or exceeded its quality.

No, why do people think this? Judas is an amazing song and the video was great and not controversial at all.
She got on the GP's bad side mostly with Born This Way (song), and by branding herself as gay and an outcast.
It went bad after Born This Way, let's be honest. She could've redeemed herself with the second single, but she failed. Judas should have never been a single. The video... is just not good. The whole aesthetics she was going for weren't appealing. The only good thing about the video is Norman Reedus though I'm shocked to this day he's featured in a Gaga video.
I wish Alejandro had a proper video, I'll never understand why Gaga wanted it to be a gay anthem.

Aaaaand Judas was just tacky to release on Easter. The music video is actually really safe and unsacreligious for the most part, but the song is rather demonic.
The three punch of Alejandro>BTW>Judas is what made people start to think of her as a novelty that only wanted controversy. You can't always shock.
True, I never saw Judas as controversial cause I've never been even slightly religious and I've never had any religious friends, so the thought never even occurred to me at the time, but I can see why some people thought she was fishing for more controversy. The Swine performance at SXSW will remain one of Gaga's most iconic performances
People just don't care, and she's not making them care.
But still, radio stations refusing to play her song because they don't think it sounds like a hit? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
Wait until the call-out scores come out. It probably just hasn't tested well with the public, which is why the stations aren't even attempting to push it.
Plus, both Applause and DWUW had lukewarm call-outs as well.
Honestly if Gaga had comeback with a new sound with real human lyrics, on top of a video that showed us another side of Gaga, then maybe it would have been okay. People are tired of her and her weirdness for the sake of being weird. It isn't entertaining anymore. I really thought she was the reinvention queen, but she has proven otherwise.

Lesson (hopefully) learned for Gaga: save controversy and shock value for truly important events, i.e. Swine SXSW.

tbh, I think if we'd have gotten the DWUW vid, aside from the potential controversy people could realise she can look hot if she wants, and GUY would have just followed up on that
