"Stephen" is a fantastic song which shows how one can utilise voice altering mechanics and still produce a great earworm. Prominent is Ke$ha's girly singing, which cleverly fits the lyrics and compliments the wonderful melody.
Lyrically, it's humorous yet clever, showing that not only is Ke$ha all for poking fun at herself, but that she's as crazy as the next person, and one of the most down to Earth and relatable popstars around.
There isn't a song in her discography which I feel like is filler.
It is still filler though in my opinion. I feel like they were like "let's take five minutes to write a new song" and then barely produced it. IDK. It's probably just cause every song on Animal and Cannibal is flawless.
Supernatural NEEDS to be the next single. I've shared the snippet Dr. Luke posted with my friends that don't really use her that much, and they all loved it. It would be a smash on the radio.

I remember Animal had me pressed when I bought it because I wished more of her flawless demos made it onto the CD. Animal had the potential to be critically well received. (At least a 65 on Metacritic)

'Boots & Boys' wasn't written in 5 minutes. It just pre-dates most tracks on Animal. That's why it sticks out from a production perspective. The song was floating around the internet before people even knew who Ke$ha was, where I think TiK ToK' was barely in existence at the time. It's basically one of her old demos that they shoved on the album. In that sense, it's filler.. although I actually think it's a decent song.
i have never ever been more exited for a new album, but this one is eating my insides! i wish she did the promo countdown on itunes like she did with cannibal. Doesnt the second single usually come out before the release of the album? especially RCA singles
