Personally I think they can make it work. They can easily cut production costs by having some of the sensates in one location. So instead of having 8 different locations they'll have 5 or 6 at most.

This show is so progressive for diversity on television. It would be a damn shame to see it get cancelled after only one season.

I mean Netflix gave Hemlock Grove three seasons and that show was trash for the most part

I don't even think it has anything to do with production since Netflix isn't producing to paying out anything to make these shows. I think they are just saving the announcement for their Comic Con panel. Why else have one?

I do agree that they should start gathering the sensates into one location though, especially if the antagonist is aiming to pick them off.

Plus the ratings have been solid from what I read and the show has such a dedicated fanbase (not as big as GoT & Outlander, but still big) Netflix have no reason to cancel this show

Straczynski said that the show is up for renewal with Netflix, and he should know in the next two weeks if the streaming video company will order a second season. He said he's hopeful, though, because Netflix representatives have told him that the viewers are watching the 12-episode first season "straight through -- three, four, six times." X

I think they know what they were getting involved with money wise when they signed it in the first place. Given it's success and good reviews I don't see why it wouldn't get a similar budget to season 1.
