Vanessa attened the Southwest Film Festival last night in Austin, TX (where she's currently shooting a movie).

According to reports from people that were on set Vanessa WAS ACTUALLY playing the guitar.
Vanessa is also trained in piano.

In 'Will' Vanessa plays Sam, a high school outcast who joins a rock band and competes in a battle of the bands competition.

Aside from shooting the movie Vanessa is also putting the final touches on her sophomore album which hits stores June 24th.
