Well GLAMOUR doesn't fit the song nor the era. UA is about ROBYN not Rihanna the megastar. Obviously everything this era is going to be more symbolic, meaningful and raw. Also compared to a certain pop star she doesn't need haute couture to look stunning.

Because they fitted the RR visual, that's why it slayed so much. If we have a video of Rihanna in haute couture it would simply look out of place with this era. Each era has an image and glamour doesn't fit the bill this time.
