lol. We Are Young is generic because it was popular over 2 years ago and there have been many iterations of that style in pop music since, making it no longer unique and thus, generic. Very simple.
Stop looking at my avatar and colouring my words. I'm just sharing my opinion and I'm not even being shady. In response to your other post, her vocals are great yes, but I meant the production when I meant a step forward. Rihanna could slay a David Guetta song with vocals and still it wouldn't be a step forward.
David Guetta would be a step backwards because she's already done that. If she released a EDM that would be the same as she had before and people want different. We don't want the same ole. Right now, Rih is delivering everything we could want.

yeah still makes no sense, the track sounds nothing like we are young. I don't see what's generic with the production and if the comment would have been made by a member with a Rih avi I would have made the same remark.
It gets even BETTER after listening to it multiple times
THIS, it wasn't the best feeling at first. But this is giving me emotions that FFS couldn't give me even after a month. Not Home era being more exciting than her own album.
Sounds great as a movie soundtrack though, which is the first reason it was produced. It sounds fitting with the movie concept. This dual release makes no sense. She could have finished with March and released the R8 lead single on May and could have a summer smash. But her team is a damn mess. We go from indie folk to tribal kids songs. I kinda knew it this era would be a mess. I should have never had such high expectations. Where are the iconic pop songs?
Let me stop ranting.
I have confidence that the pop songs we all want are on the album. There's no way she made an album full of 45S's.
HOY FUCCCKK! THIS IS SO ****ING GOOD! Listen to it with headphones in on loud and it's even more amazing! This is ****ing amazing! Don't even say this is generic otherwise I will punch you.
