Producer Starsmith has revealed that Cheryl Cole's new album is techno-influenced.
Starsmith, who has also worked with Diana Vickers, Kylie Minogue and The Saturdays, wrote a song for Cole's upcoming LP which he described as having a "'90s house feel".
He told X: "I can't tell you the name of it, but the song I wrote has a '90s house feel. It's fun and makes you want to get up and dance on the table.
"They told me the type of thing they wanted and we did it, because obviously you can't have an R&B song on a techno album."
Starsmith, real name Finlay Dow-Smith, also described working with Cole as a "gratifying" process.
He said: "We really enjoyed making it. We got to the point where it was like, 'If Cheryl doesn't like it, it doesn't matter', because we were having so much fun with it.
"But she liked it, and that was really gratifying."
Cole recently revealed that her new single after 'Promise This' is called 'The Flood'.
It's a shame your one of the few people who think that. Won't be so embarrassed when it's number 1 next month
Not everybody has to have the same opinion on it you know. I could care less if it goes to number one, it will still be ****. Sorry I don't worship the UK's Golden Girl.
