All the femcee's since foxy have been trying to emulate what Kim's done...

Most girls today are still following that path because they were influenced by how Kim wore the designer labels, how she was overly sexualized in her music with feministic messages, etc. How she carried herself.
Nicki, Iggy, Azealia, Brooke, even Trina has qualities of what Kim and Foxy started.

read em sis *snaps fingers in a z formation* Kim introduced a whole new industry for females. #QueenBitch101

It's the real hip hop mami check the facts
I'm sick of all you acts with your bubble gum raps
Like the sand in the hour glass you out of your time
Tried to go against the queen is you out of your mind?
Even be at number two, your chances is slim
Cause when God made Adam, he should've made Kim
I gave a few passes but I never forget
It's enough I got to put up with this Doo Doo Brown chick
Now you and you wanna come at me from all sides
I'm gettin money, don't think I just be lettin **** slide
I'm very concerned with fashion ain't my fault y'all don't know how ta
Rock this Hollyhood thang y'all need to let me style ya
Come back, to the light ma, I started the ****
How soon we forget I'm the heart of the ****
So keep your tacky ways and go back to your stripper days
As long as I'm around, you gon' bow down

I agree that Kim is hugely influential, but I think for every artist its going to vary on who they classify as the most influential. For this girl its Kim, for Nicki its Foxy, for someone else it may be Eve etc. All girls mentioned in this thread (from Queen Latifah to Nicki) have had their impact in some way or another.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and the truest test of relevance. It's like why career-wise, Martha Stewart is more influential than Oprah. There are 20M lifestyle/party planning/ home decorating gurus that can all be traced back to Stewart. Lil' Kim has the most successful imitators in hip-hop. They've been able to borrow aspects of Kim's career to further their own. It's no accident that Nicki patterned her whole "Barbie" persona after Kim. If you're a woman in hip-hop trying to create an outrageous, visual brand, Kim and Missy are the prototypes. If Lauryn Hill had sustained the type of industry longevity that Kim had, Nicki would've probably patterned her act after Lauryn.

I respectfully disagree, and Missy would too.
Missy is more about the music and the production than the "rapping." Lil Kim remains the best female MC.

What's new? These rap girls know who they got some of their style from .
Anybody can call themselves the Queen but Kim really lives up to her status. Her impact is too solid to be compared to Missy or Lauryn I think people just throw them up to try to discredit Kim for being the original GOAT.
