Obesity is only bad for those who are obese, so they should be the ones caring

Well people have a problem with smokers, this ain't different. You're harming myself and taking up space on the NHS. So much time wasted on problems which could've been easily avoided if they'd taken care of themselves.

In children yes.
But in the case of adults who have chosen that lifestyle it isn't your place to tell them to change unless you're their doctor and they have actual health problems. Mind your own business basically.

Yeah, but they should be told it isn't good and offered help to get in shape.

omg, it's their lives and their bodies who are y'all to ''genuinely offer a healthier lifestyle'' in the first place?
and these opinions that overweight people are ALWAYS sick or that you can easily lose weight or that overweight people aren't pretty just show how influenced you are by our fatphobic society and maybe it's you who should make a change...

Welcome to the real world where people have differing opinions. There are guys who literally get turned on at the thought of a fat person.
|
And this proves what? People are turned on by all sorts of weird ****, it does not mean they are genuinely happy about being fat

nope. it's not. first of all, a healthy lifestyle/well-being should be promoted, and you should settle for something you can better yourself with. aka, don't have false happiness if you're obese, because clearly there's a problem. a little overweight is one thing, but any more than that and it's not good. also, it leads to so many health problems for people--especially younger generations--which others end up paying towards through unfair healthcare policies. i don't want to pay for or help someone who can't help himself.
i know this is harsh, but i'm someone who lost 75 pounds. you can do it, trust me.

Please learn to love your fellow man. Life's too short.

STDs are spead by sexual activity, and it costs millions every year that we all pay for. Let's ban sex and condemn Sex Identity/Activity Pride.

Ok, then they shouldn't act like it's an illness which deserves taxpayer-funded medical help on the NHS for the consequences.
It's usually pretty simple, diet and exercise. This is a fact.

No one said it's easy, it takes commitment and strength, something a lot of people don't have. Anyone can lose weight if they want to, it's excuses and fairytales that stop them from achieving the weightloss

'nnn' at you trying to say the amount of money spent on sexual health is the same or more than that spent on obesity

What if they don't want to get into shape? What if they're happy how they are?
And mess at you thinking losing weight is cheap or accessible for everyone. Healthy food costs money, gym memberships cost money, not everyone is privileged enough to just 'get into shape'.

Does it matter how much money is spent to each one of them? Besides, that varies between countries.
STDs are still a 'charge' to the system. Will you prove my point wrong?

Losing weight doesn't represent your strenght, learning how to love yourself and your body despite what society and people like you think does

Yes? People need to quit worrying about what other people are doing with their lives and start worrying about themselves

Running is free. Food costs the same. Salad is cheaper than steak.

There's nothing wrong with being a bit overweight, but I don't think you should strive for it or encourage it. There's many scientifically proven consequences for people who do not exercise, eat a nutritious diet, among many other things.
We also shouldn't be so quick to criticize because there are people out there that, due to genetics, cannot lose weight as easily as others.

Well, he did. STDs are a disease, obesity is bad habits. One is clearly more urgent.

Go for a run. Everyday. Basic groceries are cheaper than fast food.
