What ATRLers don't seem to know is that "pop art" is a specific genre, not just a combination of words (check https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pop_art ) infusing colors, commercials, cartoons etc - that's all pop art. Exactly what Katy has been doing all the time.

Just for reference: what Gaga is doing is drawing from a previously established, more arty art genre, called "surrealism".

lol, I have been waiting for this. Im not a native speaker like you. But we can talk in my native language, Czech or in Russian, too - to make it more balanced, would you like ? The chairman of Capitol probably knows a lot more about art then you. And in the article there are not even capital letters so probably he meant it more generally than the actual art movement "Pop Art". If you read his talking properly you see he uses it to express how Katy can embrace music (art) with pop culture and nowaday's generation. In this view she is even more pop art than Gaga herself.


(And "to conversate" is a word too. Maybe a little bit unusual form, but its a word. find it in you dictionary, native speaker.)
