It varies. When the hate comes from rock lovers or people than prefer a specific genre its always pretentious BS. When hate come in the form of racism it gets messy as hell, but we've already had that in this thread. If its not one of those things then the person usually just can't relate, which is no different then why I don't listen to Taylor swift or don't use born this way

Look at the Billboard charts, almost every single rap song in the top 50 has an extremely annoying and repetitive chorus matched with some ratchet oversexed lyrics.
