The Catholic Church is something that's going to take a long time to progress, it is rooted in such tradition. It's thankfully made more progress than I think a lot of us would have guessed, but it's going to take a while for things like this.
I don't think it's ever going to progress or change its position on anything. The rules, laws and doctrines of the Catholic Church are set in stone. Not even the Pope has the power to change them.
He's been ordering the spreading of anti-gay, anti-trans propaganda and teachings across South America since he was "chosen" or whatever the term is called. He's an idiot and gross.
Her radio show was not obligated to be kept over her comments, and he has nothing similar to that. Also pretty sure she still is able to put out her gospel music and preach at that church she said the stuff at, which shows they both get to fall on their religion despite it all.
Well, he's right. Gender isn't a choice, just like sexuality. It's a difference in the brain. Wouldn't the brain be more important than the body in terms of God's image?
The fact that people stilll don't know the difference between gender and biological sex
Gurls but why do you care ? I mean, even if you're a believer and a Christian you can distance yourself over the Pope statements. If you're an atheist why should I care about his beliefs?

As if Latin American countries were pro-gay before he started Pope-ing around.

The Catholic Church is done progressing unless you expect the Church to denounce teachings in the Bible. The way we progress now is to stop listening to the Church's conservative views regarding sexuality and gender.
Are people really surprised. Why is there even still a Pope and why do people take them seriously. I'm asking. I admit my ignorance of the subject regarding Catholicism and its history.
