ikr. the smart thing to do now is to do a barbara walters interview about her struggle with alcoholism, which would make the GP feel sorry for her rather than ridicule her. she doesn't actually need to go to rehab, but a faux stint of 3 to 6 months would do wonders for her, publicity-wise.
