I can't believe it too. Let's say he could open with 400k without internet, and to see that he's doin' 50k with 5.0. that's like 350k downloaded illegally. Honey, that doesn't have anything to do with the sales decline. No one really cares about 50 Cent or Nelly anymore. Nothing lasts forever. Expect the same for some of these current artists five to ten years down the line.

I have to disagree with you on both points

- I believe that Illegal Downloading played a major role in the decline of sales

- And Eminem is really popular now like he was 10 years ago.

First point: I'm not talking about the overall decline of sales. I'm talking about Nelly's and 50 Cent's sales. They suck because no one cares about them. They are plenty of artists doing 300k+ today.

Second point: Good for Eminem and anyone else who has been able to shine after all these years. He may be the exception but certainly not the rule.

Look at where he got a big hit: Pop radio and iTunes. He is right in the same boat with every new pop male singer that's out (Mike Posner, Taio Cruz, Jason DeRulo, etc.). If he had a hit at Urban, he would be doing much better. "Just a Dream" is beyond generic and really not a tune to make the public go out and buy his album.

They most likely predicted right for Jackie. Her big sales will probably come from where the old people shop and all the outlets your faves don't sell. Stop looking at the early updates because most of you will come up looking dumb in the end.

Maybe, but it depends on which retailers are represented in the 32%. It's not 32% of the final number.

And as for the Nelly argument, as much as it hurts to admit this but Captain Planet is right

Just a Dream is a only a hit on Pop Radio and iTunes, if Urban picked it up, then it would have pushed his album sales to 200K+ since Trey opened up big back in Sep!!

And yeah people just don't have as much interest in Nelly and 50 Cent because Hip-Hop/Rap was more dominant in 5-7 years ago

But I'm hoping that he releases Gone as a single, so it could be a huge success on Urban and Pop Radios and maybe push his album to Platinum Gold
