It really depends on how the reputation system works. Assuming it works like how I think it does (like it gives off a general idea of how good or bad a member is), I'm in favor of it. It'll be a lot easier to weed out the trolls/people I know not to talk to!

Right now the function is just a positive karma-like reputation that you can give to a member's post once a day and vice versa. On profiles there is then a "reputation" percentage based on the amount received. But it brings about the idea of liked posts, upvotes/downvotes, and such.
