I finally got approved.
Hi all! Sad that I couldn't register during this era but at least I could watch the reactions to Black Lake. See you all around.

I listened to Vulnicura today, and discovered it still slays me
Do we think this could finally earn her that well deserved Grammy? It's one of the most acclaimed albums of 2015 so far, and it got some pretty big press coverage (mainly due to the leak / early release, but also because of the material while they were at it). I'm crossing my fingers for ha

Me too. she really deserves it, especially how 'naked' the album is. you don't have to like her to hear how devastating the whole album really is.

I became a fan earlier this year (even though I've known about her for a long time)
I bought physical CDs of Homogenic and Vespertine. I am aiming to get myself a copy of Post to complete the trinity

I am re-discovering Vespertine, I always liked it really much, but right now is turning my 2d favourite of her (after Homogenic aka the best album ever), the harps, the choirs, her angelic voice and god Undo, maybe it's the stuff I'm dealing with right now, but after years, I started to loving it, those lyrics are healing.
(The demo version of It's In Our Hands >>> the single/gh one)

Yeah, when I was 13/14 years old my mom had this hard drive with a lot of music, and It contained the promo release of Vespertine (a lot of songs had different names, Pagan Poetry was Blueprint, Heirloom was Crabcraft and it included this version of Our Hands insted of INUTY and Frosti) this version is almost identical, but the beat is much softer and the last minute is EVERYTHING, I didn't like how they ruined the outro with the official version
Here it is! : )

I guess they're basic in the sense that they're very easy to read and interpret, ie the lyrics to Black Lake are very obvious and apparent about the breakdown of a relationship, compared to her other stuff which usually carry very whimsical and extended metaphors etc.

Vulnicura's lyrics are really simple, but they're touching, I don't see them basic, I appreciate that after Biophilia where she sung about thunders, dnas and tectonic plates, she sang about relatable topics, she showed humanity, I don't listen to it much, but more because it's so emotional that is so hard to through the whole album, Family is still one of her highlights alongside Stonemilker.

I definitely agree that Family/Stonemilker are the two best on Vulnicura. My 3rd favorite is probably Notget tbh.
