Her lack of radio support is very puzzling. Just by listening to her songs, I understand why radio isn't hot on them. We've been over it before: they're not cool, fun, modern, hip, etc. They sound old-fahioned ( nice way of saying dated
). This became even clearer tonight when I heard Just Dance on the radio for the first time in a long time and it sounded like such a pop/rhythmic smash.
But people are requesting them. It's not like Beyonce's new songs where she's a huge star, but I have never once heard any of her songs on the KIIS most-requested countdowns. Same for Criminal. For a song to be #1 for FOURTEEN days in a row and still not be placed in hot rotation is odd, regardless of how early '90s it sounds.
