Look, at the end of the day, when we go into the tinychats its just a place where we, as friends, because we actually made a friendship in this thread. We just go in there and talk, I have no idea what the screenshots say, because when we do talk about the game, we're just doing it to talk and gossip and have a good laugh.

We are people too, and we do have opinions, and like everyone else, we go and talk to our friends about our thoughts and private opinions. We also have things in our lives and we also have thoughts on things, so of course me, Pika, Kitt, and theo are gonna make jokes and laugh, and kii about things.

We're not doing it to be malicious, and we're sorry if what we said was hurtful, we never meant it like that, but at the same time we never thought it'd be exposed either. And if you blame us for gossiping to one another or having a good laugh, then that's your choice.

We laugh at each other, we laugh about the entries, we talk and kii about the comments, because we are all friends and we are all people who also have opinions, and damn us for wanting to share them in a place where we feel like we could.

We put that tinychat link everyday, we're not having some closed off private session with one another that no one can enter, the judges are always welcome .to come in there and join in, its never been private, anyone could walk in there. Did we get to comfortable there? Of course, and this is the result of it.

But just know what we said was never to hurt you, it was never intended to come off as malicious, because sadly, theres a disconnect. Me, Pika, and Kitt, that's just how we are, we joke with each other and we say things that come off as mean, but maybe if you guys knew us more you'd understand.

The "**** talking" phrase came from me and may have been the wrong word choice. But when I hear that people have been talking about us judges behind our backs can be seen as **** talking. Once again I never saw screen captures of what has been said so I don't know the degree of severity with the words. I assumed the worst knowing how people talk in tiny chat so I used the phrase **** talking when explaining to the judges.

Understandable, we all have done it and there is nothing wrong with it. However were on the internet where it's easy for someone to press a button and take a picture of what you said and use it to expose you. What goes from a joke can be turned into something later.

It's also the fact, like what has already been mentioned, expressing your feelings there instead of here to get answers. How would you feel if someone that you say is your friend is in the tinychat actually talking bad about you without you knowing. You'd want to know if you found out and feel a little betrayed.

Yes us judges are allowed, I mean I come in and have fun with you all sometimes, but I notice whenever 'guest changed his name to matty' the atmosphere sometimes changes like oh **** I gotta watch what I say. There is like that moment where subjects have to change just to make me happy.

Like I said, we've all done this before but things can easily backfire like it has done this week. Gone from just expressing opinions to miscommunication and **** hitting the fan and now everything being laid out on the table. It's okay to talk to people, but if it's something you can't share with everyone might as well not say it or say it in a more private setting.

As I said in the chat, let's leave that for harmless and fun talks with each other in tinychat, but if it's about the judges and their style or wanting more information say it here or directly talk to that judge.

I understand, and yeah the part where we were wrong was not addressing it to the judges about our own personal feelings about how they judge, and we understand that now and will be more vocal with it. Maybe we got to used to only saying in that tinychat, or who knows the reason.

I was just making it clear that we never say things to hurt people, its all light and fun, and I'm not stranger to how gossip and how talking to friends is, I've been there before and been the topic of discussion many times and we all deal with it in a different way.

Once again all understandable. It's that gateway, that place when you thought this thread wasn't. But we're judges, we're here to give criticism, explanations, and be here as much as we can.

That last part was my wrong doing as I said above my novel reply. It was probably my wrong choice of words.

I barely make appearances in TC because I work two jobs, by time I get home I'm exhausted. Whenever I get a chance I pop in to see what happening, but you guys stay late.

And from the times I have attended, no one has ever talked **** about anyone.

This is a game at the end of the day and I don't see why everyone is over reacting

Whenever I was in the TinyChat's the only complaints I heard were favoritism, some of the challenges didn't make sense and banter about some of the judges comments.

Not everyone suddenly being shy about everything they said in the TC though. Yes there was some dragging, I'm not afraid to admit, I dragged everyone from contestants to judges to Christina Aguilera to myself. On my part it's just playful banter though, that's how I am, I joke with all my friends. I think Edge will back that up, I pretty much call him an alcoholic with loose morals every day, but he knows we're great friends nonetheless.

The bad mouthing of judges in the TinyChat is bad form, but y'all can choose to conduct yourselves however you want. Edge made a really good point though when he said that none of us judges are REQUIRED to give up our time to judge every challenge, we just do.

And what's this now? The contestants are writing little blurbs about how they feel about our judging? I've never seen a game before where the contestants actually judge our judging... Comes across as a little entitled to me, but ok, go ahead. When it comes down to it, we're judges because Matty trusts us. If you know Matty, you know how much he cares about the integrity of his games, and there is no way he would a) choose an unqualified judge or b) allow his judges to choose favourites or get away with bad judging. And to those who don't like my judging - let's look for a second at how things went....Challenge 1: boyonce guest judges. After that, contestants openly say in this thread "we want boyonce to judge again!". Matty listens. I judge again. Suddenly you guys don't like my judging and accuse me of playing favourites. Yes, I've given Kitt lots of high rankings. Yes, we both like Beyonce. But her entires have been better and deserving of those scores. I'm not going to mark her low just because we both stan for Bey and I don't want to seem biased. To those of you who spend time/energy discussing how the judging is unfair - take all that energy and redirect it to making yourself a better top member, and I think you'll be pleased with the results.

Anyway, I'm about to send in my judging for this round. I sincerely hope it rises to the standards of you guys.

Well, it's not like we personally hate any judges or contestants. It's just that this game means a lot to a lot of people and they don't like it when they feel they don't get what they deserve. The main problem most people have with the judging is that it seems like the placements each round also depends on how well you did previous rounds. There's only been two different people that have won a round (if you don't count pika) and obviously if someone spent hours working on their entry they're not going to be happy. At the end of the day I know everyone will think I'm a complete brown noser for saying this but I think this game is handled pretty well. Obviously it's not perfect but nothing is.

extrachapstick: I feel like no matter what I submit, it doesn't seem to really impress you. There's always something that's missing or my presentation didn't live up to what you wanted. I'm not good with photoshop when it comes to banners or fancy designs, which is why my entries always look 'simple/basic'. Pika, I do wish you had come to me personally about this before. You have the ability to reach out to the judges to clarify what we're looking for if you're ever confused. It is not that I'm never impressed with you, because you have consistently placed highly in my rankings. You are one of my favorite contestants left. There is no need to apologize to me. You were frustrated and have every right to be, just know that I am here to support and encourage you.

I don't want to make you feel bad. In my critiques I have decided to give a comment about what I like, what I don't like/needs improvement, and my overall feeling on the entry. I understand you may not be competent with photoshop, but I have to point out that I don't even have photoshop and I won this competition in my cycle even against people who did... You are here for a reason and I just want to see you bring the energy you brought at the beginning of the competition. I hope you see that I'm not disappointed in you, I am rooting for you.

Like we were talking to Matty, we don't get some of the judging and sometimes it feels like some judges are playing favorites and sometimes we don't know how we can impress a judge, if they say very few things to help us out. I understand every judge has been here before, but each cycle has had different judges, and overall I think a lot of us are feeling lost sometimes and just want more.

I mean I adore the way Edge judges, he surprised me but he's given me the best pieces of advice, and its not like we don't like any of the judges, we all respect you.



I would just like more pieces of advice/critique other then "you're not going hard enough".

I don't think the biggest problem is that some contestants aren't "going hard enough." I just feel like there is too much focus being placed on trying to cater to all the judges and that ends up sucking the personality out of some of the entries. Just be yourself, flaunt it a bit, and be humble. You don't have to take every critique, unless you feel it will help you. That's part of being judged. People want what's best for you, but they don't always know what is. However, as it is a competition, if your entries are consistently being outshone by others', you have to do something different, right? This isn't specific to you. I just want to see a fair competition, and it's not very fair if some contestants don't seem, as Randy Jackson would put it, "In it to win it!"
