No it was still uptempo but they removed the drums and the big guitar boom in the song. Which wasn't a smart move.

Also I think it's very insensitive of Simon letting them sing "What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger" when one of the girls her Grandfather died a few days ago.

Just watched it. Yeah it was missing that "umph" to it without the drums like you said. At least they didn't butcher it.
