I love how you can generally always tell when Bey's had a hand in writing the lyrics of a song.
End of Time, Run The World, Single Ladies, Hello. The lyrics SCREAM Beyonce, as do the arrangements. I've noticed it's rare that I like demos more than the songs that she's done from scratch.
I think she underrates her abilities...her lyrics aren't traditionally poetic in any sense, but they're direct and have her personality in them.

Exactly. Which is why SOL and SO sound a bit out of place. Sad that some fans can't see that and not encourage her talent with worshipping such non-personality tracks .
Why some of you gurls gotta drag Slay Over like that ?
Them vocals are so vulnerable that they're almost torture. Then those hints of her operatic background when she sings: LET'S START OVAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
I don't care what none of ya'll say, this song *****!
When you call me on the phone you're buggin' me
When you follow me around you're buggin' me
Everything you do be buggin' me
You buggin' me, you buggin' me
When you show up at my door you buggin' me
When you open up your mouth you buggin' me
Everytime I see your face you're buggin' me
You're buggin' me, you're buggin' me
