Mila Kunis would be a very interesting Johanna. I think she'd do a good job.
I just can't wait for the movie.
And haha! We did fill a page. The Hunger Games fandom bringing the Top Member thread back to life!! lmao

I should watch that interview.
Mila for Johanna!
My only problem is, THG movie will come out on March 2012, right? Then Catching Fire will be out on November 2013 or something like that I guess. That's so damn long. A year and a half to wait for the next one.

I wasn't aware, as the picture I have for quiqui has about four people in it... the girl always stood out most to me, so I thought quiqui was a girl.
Sorry quiqui/Matt!

By the way, I'd like to congratulate everyone on finally getting us to PAGE 200!

Last Cycle we had a bunch of chatterboxes/post-*****s (myself, Remeese, ManDown, and Bea.) so things went a lot more quickly, but with you silent folks, 200 is a HUGE milestone. Will we ever make it to 300...? Perhaps I'll have to start giving incentives to post... Lol.

After a severely drawn out round, I announce with relief that the time has come to give your RESULTS!
I'm going to try to make this as quick and easy as possible, but first, let me give last round's CALLOUT CHARTS that MATTY so legendarily (yes, it's an actual word) puts together for us after each round!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
*This person received top call out*
*This person was eliminated*
*This person quit
*This person returned
*This person was banned
**Note: Those with a * beside their name were not ranked so they are not in the position of how they did
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Congratulations to quiqui4eva, mitchie22, and Nait Phoenix for receiving last round's TOP CALLOUT! You got to sit out for this round, but it's about time you're put back on the front lines to compete against the others.
In Challenge 5, the contestants who did not win in Episode 4's group challenge were asked to come up with a challenge idea of their own. First, let's reflect on the BIG changes that have occurred since last round...
As most of you should know by now, Marnie was banned as a result of drama concerning a blog posted by ForrestFuller, and her actions following that blog post. It's very unfortunate as I've lost a handful (4) of judges since the Cycle began. However, I took it upon myself to recruit a HANDFUL of new judges! In total, THREE NEW JUDGES as well as ONE mystery judge have joined the panel. I will announce the three below, but the mystery judge will not be revealed until the Cycle 6 finale! Without further ado, give a warm round of applause to your three new judges!
Alstrom is another member I have come to respect! Through the time I've known him here on ATRL, I have learned to appreciate the rarity of a member who doesn't get caught up in the popularity contest this site has become. Sure, it's great to be known, but you shouldn't change who you are for this forum. I have faith Alstrom will be a fine addition and will bring a balance to the judging panel.
With that settled, you will be receiving comments from Matty, myself, ReginaGeorge, ʝimmy Tɑɳcrɛɗi, Alstrom, AND the mystery judge. Let's get down to the Challenge 5 entries!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
First, a few of the judges had something to say about the overall quality of the entries this round, and I have to say for the most part I agree with them. Here's what was felt:

They could actually opt for something more original and creative, but regardless all their challenges are still pretty much relevant and applicable to this game in general.
Quality of entries as a whole: 5.5/10

There you have it... Looks like all of you are going to need to start stepping up your game and bringing the CREATIVITY for the remainder of the competition! You need to EVOLVE and STAND OUT from the rest of the contestants! Here are your entries and judges' comments!
Sin With A Grin:
Challenge Title: Testing Your Limits
A top member must be open minded and ready to give their opinions about anything. Today's challenge will test your diversity in pop culture and musical knowledge along with how well you can present it.
The task will be to get three artists from three different genres and present why you feel each artist can bring as much fierceness as the other. For example:
Say I choose Avenged Sevenfold, Lil Wayne and Lady Antebellum. I would have to write four to six sentences on each artist on why they each present fierceness in either their music or their attitude. I would not say that Lil Wayne is any more fierce than Lady A, but instead will explain how they both bring fierceness in their own unique and special ways.
This is not a challenge to create a top 3 of artists. It's to show how you can be just as open to one artists as you can be to another and to demonstrate the different ways that a different artist or genre can bring fierceness to the table. It's for you to be able to place three completely different artists on the same wavelength and be able to speak openmindedly about all of them.
You will be judged on how well your ideas are presented and how you present fierceness in the different ways.
You will have three days to perform this task and you must send your entries to ExtraChapstick by said time.
Best of luck!

ʝimmy Tɑɳcrɛɗi: I’m really looking forward to contestants’ answers because this seems to be the brainiest challenge from the four ones. You did limit to do something simple however really logical and entertaining. Quite different from the others and since it’s not what people usually do here it might stand out. I liked the presentation you’ve given to the challenge as well.
ReginaGeorge: The way that you described the challenge didn't inspire me and your title reminds me of a scary/action movie
Matty: Your challenge reminds me of a past challenge done in ANTM where the contestants had to be ranked on their favorite artists that they provided. What makes yours different though is that you are wanting to see what everyone thinks is fierce about different artists. I like that.
Mystery Judge: I've seen your growth from episode 1 up to now and I'm honestly underwhelmed by your entry this time. It's awfully similar and in line with episode 1. We have seen your approach in that department and let's try something new, shall we? However, I really, really love the description of your challenge.
ExtraChapstick: I do think your challenge was very well presented and well-thought out, and I appreciate that you're trying to get people out of their comfort zones. I do think the title and your formatting could have used some work, though. Still, for me it was a solid entry.

Deuces:
Who Run ATRL? (Smileys)
Smileys are used on a daily basis and have become a standard in an ATRL post. Some of the top members of ATRL have contributed several smileys that get used on ATRL on a daily basis. Smileys show and express emotion without the use of a gif. Smileys are very popular and look good when they finish off a post. Your job is to find a smiley that represents you as a member and shows a lighter and more comical side to you. Find a smiley and provide three examples of when the smiley would come in handy. For instance if I found the " " smiley I would post "I am the number 1 member " as an example. Post 3 examples showing the smiley and how it will be used. The judges will judge the smiley's creativity, originality, and usefulness. Get to it and find those smileys!!! Finding smiley's are just a Google search away.

ʝimmy Tɑɳcrɛɗi: Too cliché in my opinion. It sounds basic but I will wait until the contestants deliver something that might be funny.
ReginaGeorge: Well Deuces, you could have done better. Your entry is very simple. You could have used a better title, and I think that Extrachapstick might already have quoted that song
Matty: A smiley challenge has been done in past ANTM cycles, but what sets your apart is that you are not asking to find a smiley that represents you but how it could be used in the ATRL community. I think it would be a fun task and maybe it would catch on (and we can name it ) lol.
Mystery Judge: Although your entry was undeniably alike to that of eegigyy's, yours was more detailed and comprehensive. One of the most important elements in being a Top Member is how you present yourself to the public, and your entry didn't highlight that element, sadly.
ExtraChapstick: As Matty mentioned, a smiley challenge has been done in past Top Member Cycles. That, for me, makes it seem a bit less inspired, though Matty did point out something that set your entry apart. Ultimately, however, I'd have liked to see something more creative.

IAmCannibal:
Title: The Poet Who Knows It

Being a Top Member isn't always about being in-tune with music or everyday celebrity gossip. You have to be well-rounded. Writing is one thing overlooked on ATRL. Therefore, for this challenge you are to write a free-verse poem.
A free verse poem is a type of poetry that does not require consistent meter patterns, rhyme, or other musical patterns. But feel free to include any of these in the poems if you wish
Give your poem a theme. The theme can be anything you want, however make sure it will not offend any member here. Also, make sure it is easily readable and coherent. Finally, remember that this is FREE VERSE so have fun with it.
TIP: Make this an opportunity to show us something about yourself (i.e., personality, things you like to do. etc.)!

ʝimmy Tɑɳcrɛɗi: Great idea. The freedom of choosing the theme they wanna relate to only gives them will of doing that and that’s good. I agreed when you said that a Top member isn’t all about into music stuff but definitely should be onto writing stuff which gives us better knowledge and domination/structure for our own opinion. I didn’t think someone would deliver anything like this for this round. Looking forward to contestants’ reactions about this. Hopefully they’ll come up with something decent.
ReginaGeorge: I love the way that you describe the challenge, great title + you added an image, which makes it greater! just don't use Angelo
Matty: This challenge sounds like a mixture of what you guys had to answer during the pre-rounds of what makes you you and lyrics challenge of what stands out. This challenge is alright but I wish you would have made the rule to make it rhyme, just something that doesn’t leave the challenge so broad.
Mystery Judge: Your entry was the most outstanding among the bunch. Writing is one of the conventional ways to express your opinions, emotions and ideas. A poem can be written, but doesn't mean it's easy to write one. The challenge could elicit a Top Member's impressions on him/herself in an artistically mysterious approach considering there is never a fixed meaning behind it. Well done!
ExtraChapstick: First, as an aspiring writer, I applaud you for being so bold as to create a challenge that centers around creative writing. Second, I also applaud you for pointing out that being a Top Member isn't just about being obsessed with Pop Culture. However, as Matty said, the challenge was a bit broad and would have benefitted from a bit more fine tuning. Still, I like the concept and your presentation.

Episode 6 - :yournamehere:
Certain members have smilies which are representative of their personalities ( ) , or usernames ( ). Each one is easily recognizable and iconic in their own right on ATRL.
Your task for this episode is to introduce a new smilie that embodies you. In a PM, you must include your smilie, its code, how it represents you, and the context in which it could be used. Example:
Quote:

:smileycode:
This smiley represents me because...
It can be used when...
|
And who knows? The smilie you chose could be yours in the future.

ʝimmy Tɑɳcrɛɗi: The same I said about Deuces' submission. Besides, ATRL’s filled with smileys and sometimes like the gifs, they are inappropriate in many situations and result in a lot of strangely formed sentences. Nevertheless I’m still interested in what’s coming from the contestants, though.
ReginaGeorge: You did a great job explaining the game, great introduction, giving an example but you're missing an image
Matty: Your challenge is an exact copy of what was done during Cycle 4 of ANTM. http://atrl.net/forums/showthread.ph...46#post4041346
What makes it slightly different is that you chose the same tactic as Deuces and added the question “How can it be used?”
Mystery Judge: Damn. Your entry was painfully similar to Deuces's. However, you gained extra points for efforts in formatting. Smilies are abundant, just like traits in humans, and finding one to present yourself and your personality could be a pain in the ass (at least if you take this challenge seriously). Simple entry but on point. I like it!
ExtraChapstick: You've heard many times already that it was similar to Deuces's entry, and just as I said to him, it's not very creative considering it's a challenge that has been used MANY times here on ATRL. Still, your entry was formatted in a simple yet effective way.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Now for the results!
As you know, this round is a DOUBLE ELIMINATION. However, only 4 of you rose to the challenge to deliver an entry. Apparently $CBCOOL$ was having trouble logging in to ATRL for a few days, but apart from contacting Matty (after the deadline) there wasn't any follow-up that I'm aware of to try to work out getting an entry in. Unfortunately, that means we will first be saying goodbye to $CBCOOL$.
Fortunately for the rest of you, that means only ONE more of you will be going home tonight.
Because there are now 6 judges weighing in, in order to not give the judge votes too much power over the contestant votes, judge votes will, from this point on, be worth just ONE point (previously two). The judges and contestants all ranked the entries from 1 (best) to 4 (worst). For every #1 ranking you received, you got a BP (Best Point), and for every #4 ranking you got a WP (Worst Point). Your total scores were determined by taking the number of BPs you received and subtracting the number of WPs you received. Let's get right in... The winning entry, and the one which will be used for ROUND 6's challenge, was submitted by....
1. IAmCannibal
9 BPs - 2 WPs = 7 POINTS
Congratulations IAmCannibal! You have emerged on top of this challenge as a result of your unique entry! Your proposed challenge will be used for ROUND 6, though it will likely be tweaked a little. You did a great job this round, and you continue to prove why bringing you back into the competition was the right decision!
2nd and 3rd place go to:
2. Deuces
1 BP - 2 WPs = -1 POINTS
3. eegigyy
1 BP - 3 WPs = -2 POINTS
Both entries were very similar, though overall the ideas sat well with both the judges and contestants on the whole. Still, because of the low number of entries being judged this round, either of you could easily have gone home. However, you are both still in the running to becoming ATRL's Next Top Member! Congratulations!
Unfortunately, that means in FOURTH PLACE, and going home, is Sin With A Grin!
4. Sin With A Grin
2 BPs - 6 WPs = -4 POINTS
You were one of my favorites, and I'm very proud of you for making it to the Top 7! I also liked admired your entry for its attempt to get people to think outside the box a bit. Ultimately, however, it failed to stand out when it came time for the contestants and judges to vote. If for any reason someone drops out in the next round you will eligible for a call-back! This is not the end of your ATRL journey! However, you are no longer in the running to becoming ATRL's Next Top Member. Please pack your bags and exit the Top Member house.
Contestants! Those of you who got to sit out this last round are now BACK on the chopping block! Challenge/Episode 6 will be posted tomorrow, August 17th, at noon Pacific Standard Time. You already have a pretty good idea of what the challenge will be, as IAmCannibal's entry won, but keep an eye out for twists!

Congrats on the new judging panel. You guys are all amazing and I know you'll go a great job
As for the results, a HUGE congrats to those of you who made it. This was a really difficult challenge and you all did outstandingly.
I'm so glad that I got to be a part of ANTM this time around. I honestly never thought I'd even get past the first challenge and I actually made the top 7. It's been incredible playing with you guys. You're all wonderful people who have done amazingly throughout this competition. Every single week, it was seriously harder and harder to rank because I just felt nobody deserved an elimination. I love that I've gotten to know a lot of you through this competition. I honestly think every one of you deserves this title because you're all so much fun and such interesting members. I've definitely enjoyed all the challenges and a lot have really pushed me out of my comfort zone and really caused me to think and work hard. Thank you guys for putting up with me and keeping me in this competition for as long as you did. I wish the top 6 luck and really can't wait to see who wins it all.
Also, special congrats to Mitchie. Last female standing. Represent for all us female atrlers
Come into the Hunger Games thread every now and then, if you want. It's near dead. Probably on one of the later pages of Celebria
Anyways, thank you all again for letting me play and for making this so much fun for me. Good luck to all of you.
Also, to Chapstick, you have done an amazing job as a host. I'm so proud/happy for you that you got to do it this season. Thanks for making the season so great and fun for us. <3
