Not at all. I just said that I think it's a bad when you let anyone else but yourself and the artist itself influence your relation with an artists (or: somebody) - to put it out in a very strange way.

Yes, discounts are for #1 (PEAKS) and for SALES (OF THE SINGLES) too. Because they can say like I sold 2M of Only Girl while it was $0.69. Compare that to 2M or another track at $1.29. Nice that Rihanna gets her peaks and her records on BB Hot 100. But the downside is that she doesn't make Forbes.

True, if #1 would mean your album would sell 1M, Katy would be at 4M already but she's not. Such a shame. But still, it's the singles department and there shouldn't be cheating there too

W/e. I'm not monroe but Gaga's success is nothing to brag about considering all the tricks she had to use to sell that one million. While others did it on their name alone. At the end of the day. Payola+ Amazon+ 9 Months of misleading Hype = Gaga's first week sales. and it's slowly but surely showing.

Do you even know what payola is? You can't use it directly to sell your album

All the tricks? Any label can do these 'tricks' aka promotion, and all labels do that.

When Taylow hit 1M it was also because she had big promo and sold her album at starbucks and all. Just like Gaga did now. The only thing now is that Amazon deal came out of nowhere and it gave 440k. 770k is also good, for pop. And that is also way higher than TD or Loud or FF.

There is really nothing to say or even discuss about this. As long as she keeps selling in one month what her contemporaries do in five, there is no discussion or argument. The album is still sitting pretty in the 70s on Metacritic, can you say that about the other albums? It's dropping, but that was always to be expected. As long as she continues to promote, just know she will leave no room for the other girls on Mediatraffic.

We get it, the album's sales are consistently declining. The reason is obviously the 99 cent offer, otherwise sales would have been stable the weeks following release. God.
