Let me just rant.
The Eagles made being an Eagles fan embarrassing today, namely the coaching staff and Sam Bradford. I will spend the rest of the season questioning why we chose not to go for it on a fourth and one last week and why, after we stupidly decided not to go for it, Chip Kelly did not call for a time out to give the field goal unit proper time to set up.
Its so funny to me how Chip Kelly doesn't want to take a gamble on a fourth and one but he will gladly gamble away a future franchise quarterback in Nick Foles and walk away with an injury prone doofus in Sam Bradford all in an effort to draft Mariota who we didn't even get or come close to getting. Now we are stuck with Mark Sanchez and Sam Bradford who are both jokes within the NFL and unreliable.
Today's game was so painful to watch because even though it was a division rivalry game and had we won we would have been on top of the NFC East there was no excitement from the team, no passion and no one came out prepared to win. It was the most unexcitable game I have ever seen from the Eagles and if I didn't miss players like LeSean McCoy, Jeremy Maclin and Tent Cole before I certainly do now because at least they cared about the team they play for whereas from what I saw today nobody on the Eagles really cares at all about the team they play for sans a select few.
DeMarco Murray is a whole other story because I don't think signing a player, especially one from a rival team, automatically makes them apart of the team they have to earn it and regardless of what stats he came to Philadelphia with I won't be impressed until he shows that he cares about being apart of the team and can mesh well with the team which he has yet to prove. I think it is absolutely ridiculous that no matter how hard Darren Sproles works and no matter what numbers he puts up Chip Kelly is always going to put another player above him and that is the whole reason why Kelly's system fails because he has certain players that he will never trust in no matter how many times they deliver something great to him and with certain players he will always feel that the grass is greener on the other side, its how he treated Foles and how he is treating Sproles right now.
I'm so frustrated with this entire team but mostly the pathetic coaching is whats killing us right now. I expected the team to struggle because of how many new players were being brought in but I didn't expect coaching to be such a big factor in us losing. If we can't even beat the Jets next week then we might as well end our entire season at week 3.
