I like it, personally. I think ours is dull and unreliable (since radio is factored in here). The UK's reflects what people are actually buying (thus have an actual demand for) with streaming.

It's bc their chart is strictly sales based. So numbers shift a lot based on new releases, etc. That's why artists put their songs on pre-order for months in the UK so it's more likely to debut with big numbers, and high.

even if its strictly sales based i would still think some songs would dominate longer than others. like if billboard was only sales based we would still have long running number ones. u.k. seems like they have 40 number ones in one year which kind of makes look way too easy to get a number one there.

Keep in mind the population difference between here and the UK. Takes much longer for a song to gain wide recognition here.

Its sales + streaming. Songs usually get pushed back and up for preorders for weeks, some even months. Thats why they end up having a very frontloaded success. They have to be something massive, out of the ordinary to stay there several weeks.

Either way i think they shouldnt push back the releases, they should release at the same time as the rest of the world. It seems to work very good for Taylor!
