I love the concept of the maze. To me, the maze represents that negative problem (or time) when you are trying to figure out what's going on (confusion/frustration). The most depressing time (when she's in the middle of the maze), and the storm - at the point when you are at the worst of the moment - she's going through it (via running around the maze) and finally overcoming that difficult period (the sun coming out = exiting the maze).
