Girlbands never do well at ESC unless they come from Russia. It would be really hard for them to qualify

Does this mean that we're still getting a live show with more than one artist like in 2014/15? I really like the current concept and they shouldn't change it. But I agree with them, the songs are meh. The artists need better songs. Jamie Lee and her casting show winner song is the best example of their laziness. I hope we don't send a "big" artist to the ESC. Nobody knows them outside of our country + our music scene is pretty boring. There are some schlager artists like Helene (but she is too big, she doesn't need it), Vanessa Mai or Beatrice Egli but they need better songs.

I hope the NDR gets inspired by the Melodifestivalen or the other music shows in Norway and Denmark.

I'm not a huge fan of Schlager music (- Helene Fischer, Queen

) that's why I said "better songs". The reality is that our music market is boring. It's either Schlager, generic radio pop music or gangsta-rap

As I said before, I think the concept is right. They give new artists a chance and the artists we've seen so far are good. But they need to buy them better songs. I'm happy that they finally search for songs internationally. It's the right step. The problem so far was that the singers performed random songs from their album instead of songs that were produced for the show and for the ESC. I just hope they really change something. Two flops should be enough and our music industry needs something new.

Iceland needs to send Thorsteinn Einarsson.

He has had 2 radio hits ('Leya' & 'Kryptonite') over here in Austria as he's actually of austrian-icelandic descent.

He's actually the type of twink KillingYour****oris would be lusting over I believe.

I'm the only natural blonde allowed in my relationships, but he ain't ugly for sure so I might think about it

And no, Helene Fischer better not even come close to the ESC (if not as a spokesperson). Her discography is probably one of the shittiest I've heard in my life and it's so kitsch, which is perfect for the German taste. Yet, the rest of Europe would keep their wigs firmly glued with Helene.
