That's what's so crazy and awesome for me, personally. I have NO IDEA what to expect. Sure the debut album had the leftover particles of NSYNC, but the 4-year break finished that and he became just a powerful name with FS/LS. As long as it's good, the casual listeners/buyers will support hard.

I just mean there obviously isn't as major of fascination over male pop singers than females, if you're not Bieber or One Direction/in that niche in general. Female pop stars are the only ones with the notable fan titles ("Navy," "Army," "BeyHive," "Animals," "Monsters" etc.) Unless I missed where Jason DeRulo and Taio Cruz have a bunch of fansites and Twitter followers and people at their feet every minute of the year.

You probably read too hard on the word fanbases. Obviously Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars have fans but I mean in the fascination way where there's a distinct support system.

It has nothing to do with ATRL, which I'm very well aware of the saturation of female pop fans here so that was a bit redundant towards me. It's just a general thing, my observation across the charts and my knowledge of these things.
