Marry The Night is by no means a sleeper hit. I think the priority and the reason why they have just left it in the US to pick up on its own is because Gaga is having more and more trouble internationally. You and I was a miss WW; it was alright in the US. Therefore, what is Gaga doing? She's getting her European promo out so that she isn't going to become increasingly more local. The hype that comes with Gaga in the US will be enough to get the single into top 40. The hype that will be built due to the international promo should help create hype for the video, and if she does some US promo + video release, it should culminate into a WW smash, something we haven't really seen this era unless you count TEOG or BTW.
