While an okay song, sounds like half Rih's catalog. And he did "Motivation", "There Goes My Baby" and Nelly's "Just A Dream" which are all pretty basic songs. I want the era to continue to be progressive like "Climax"'s sound, but it looks like he'll have his cheap little urban hit. :-/

I really hope he doesn't recreate DGUFIL & OMG. I still love them but they sound dated even now.

I don't think any of those songs are basic tbh.

To be fair, I didn't really like the Just a Dream beat either, but it being basic wasn't the problem for me.

But yeah, let's wait to hear. I hope it's good anyway. So curious to know what it sounds like. And it's Usher, so it could be anything lol. But I'm guessing it'll be urban judging by the producer and the rapper.

I think... well hope... he is leaning away from dance pop. Maybe he has realized it won't help him out much in the long run.

Maybe they'll send one next month. The album listening sessions had some obvious ones. "Climax" is up and down on Pop (35 = USHER Climax 865 -1 86 -13 3.847 +0.069) though I really wish it would pick up.

Well Jim did do Bey's "Sweet Dream" and Pitbull's "Hotel Room Service", but likely it's urban. I'm more not excited about Ross than anything else. Hopefully his verse is easy to cut out.

I was thinking, it's going to be so weird in the future when we look back at Usher's discography, and see More, Without You, DJ Got Us Fallin in Love, Dirty Dancer, etc. shoved in the middle. And the sad thing is, that's what it'll be like with most RnB/hip hop artists aswell. Ludacris, Kelly Rowland, Akon, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, etc. are all going to have similar issues.

It's disappointing that "Climax" is having fluctuating results on pop. It's the closest thing to appealing to pop, rhythmic and urban radio without seeming like a "sell-out."
