Not that I'm not happy for Gaga or whatever. It's good for her and I'm happy her comeback is going well. But if you're bringing up this win and comparing it to Jessica Lange as a feat to benefit Gaga it doesn't. It just makes the award show seem shady when that fact is pointed out.
Not to discount Gaga's win either but everyone knows that the common consensus is that she's been doing a 'good enough job' but that award belonged to Kristen tonight.

I think what they mean is that it was annoying when the season was announced and AHS fans rioted when Gaga was announced to be filling in Jessica's shoes. No one is saying she's as good an actress as Jessica but the fact that Gaga was able to prove herself good enough to win a Golden Globe only serves to prove that she did a good job.
Kirsten did deserve recognition but not everyone can always win and the voters felt that Gaga was good enough for the win. Maybe she wasn't completely deserving but she wasn't completely undeserving as well.
