Hmm, just because the last few posts are a little confusing, fake GPS =/= easy tracking apps.
Fake GPS spoofing is tricking your device into registering as being somewhere else (poor those of us whose rooms are nowhere near a Pokestop
), and is confirmed by many users to get them a temporary ban.
Pokévision is a tracking site which, afaik, is not traceable to your device, this can't get you banned. The only problem with it is it doesn't really track every kind of spawn, just the random ones iirc. For example, there are two squirtle hotspots by my house, and Pokévision never really shows them.
I prefer the desktop app someone posted on reddit (can't remember the name), as it's much more precise in taking EVERYTHING in the area, but it's cumbersome, requires a desktop, and needs to be reloaded every hour or so. The really cool thing about it is you can filter out trash like pidgeys, or search specifically for rare Pokémon. It requires linking to an account tho, so it's best done from a dupe account & might get you banned.
