Prove some receipts confirming a release date prior the release then
I've heard about her new single being out after it was on iTunes

They certainly know more than die-hard fans like us - Well, when it suits their false claims, of course.
Oh, wait, unless they think the 2 set photos Britney posted at Instagram in EARLY JUNE were "worldwide promo" for a song released almost two months later? Or that photo she posted with Burns last year, when she was recording it?
Yeah, I guess that could be it!

How on earth was it hyped up? ATRL is not the real world, nobody knew when Make Me... was coming and no release date was announced to generate any buzz.
OT: It's very disappointing to see the woman who ruled the pop scene from 2008-2011 completely TANK worldwide like this. Im hoping she can rebound, because this is looking like another disaster era for Gaga and her monsters. Hopefully she has a killer second single under her sleeve.

I just can't.
It's no shocker, though?

Correct me on this if I got it wrong.

IKR?
They are even acting like Britney fans and Katy fans said Make Me and Rise are "huge hits" - The desperation.

That's what happens when you try to hide the fact that you labelled two other Top 20 debuts as flops, and then your fave fails to reach the absurd standards you set.
Anywayz, at least one thing I can say for sure: it's been very interesting to watch haters finally acknowledging Britney's legacy in the music business.

My post had nothing to do with Gaga though. You're acting like "Make Me" was some massive smash that topped iTunes before Katy because Britney is bigger than Katy in 2016. Their releases were polar opposites. Britney's single was hyped up for months, there was no rush-releasing like you're claiming, the date was set and known.
Putting a single flag on top of one single building in the world is not sufficient promo. Neither is sky-writing or having banners on iTunes when digital sales are dead. (All of these things happened after Rise's release, not before, as you claim). I was mad at Katy's promo because it was all haphazard and in the wrong places. She should have done what Britney did and gotten in Hot Tracks and all the Spotify playlists, and at least announced the damn song beforehand.

I pretty much already commented on the rest of your post, but let's say this is true. Sorry, but sales still matter more than streaming, doesn't matter how high or low they are right now (and Katy banked on that, clearly, since she didn't make her track available, kinda like Adele did with her album). That said, what do you consider can make a difference at iTunes? Cause while Katy had all that you said means basically **** (like Gaga also had, let's be real, hence PI dropping like crazy after it lost its exposure), Make Me had NOTHING - except the "months of hype" you suggested and a placement at Spotify Hot Tracks, which is shared with tons of other tracks and is a FREE service, therefore it doesn't really help sell the song, I mean, in this world we're living, why buy something you can have it for free right away? So, care to explain?
P.S.: If it had
nothing to do with Gaga, it's off-topic, maybe you should watch your back?
P.S.2: As far as I remember, the stuff I mentioned about Rise popped up Twitter on Thursday. I could be wrong, but on my timeline that was how people were putting two and two together and realized Katy was going to release a new single that day or soon. Whatever it was, it's still a great way of promoting, and better than... Nothing.
