The is thing called negotiations where a WW phenom like Gaga would have plenty of leverage since she brings in so much money to the label. Bey did it and so did Rih regarding her contract with Roc Nation. Something doesn't add up

That only applies in your favor if you're hot at the moment. The second her singles do bad, her album sales dry up, and her tours don't bring in revenue like they used to the bargaining chip falls out of her favor.

There's been plenty of examples of major artists signing huge deals with labels, only to fall flat on their face when they don't sell.

The song may be an official single, but I feel like her main purpose was to get promo single exposure from it. I just think she's over the little game were all so obsessed with pop stars playing, but she does want to be relevant this CD to the GP because she probably has a message she wants to enlighten people with. PI is a little basic and i personally don't use it, but I am hype for her new stuff. I really wish she would do Posh Life style for a CD, we need that conscious pop music again

Just release your best material and let the GP decide if they wanna purchase or not. All buzz singles ever seem to do is delay the era because they're usually a sign of failure.

I don't care for Gaga's music. The only album I used was The Fame Monster and only a select number of tracks. I am just glad that she's putting the music out sooner than later. I cannot stand when it takes 2 months to release an album. That's ridiculous in this day and age.

So much control, that it was her label that chose Perfect Illusion as the first single, and not her.
