She's not being this active for nothing. And a 5 year gap since her last album would be stupid. The 4th quarter of the year is the best time to release an album so it's not going to be delayed until this time next year. Look how inactive she was during 2015. She went months without tweeting

Plus we already know she's been in the studio and has been talking with the bigs at RCA. And the recreation of her Instagram. That wasn't just for JLF.

At this point in 2008 we didn't even know about Funhouse. We saw her in the studio but nobody thought the album would be out that year.

She will release a socially, politically conscious album now. She has all the inspiration she needs, the sadness, the anger and the frustration to write a brilliant record. If it doesn't happen we can say goodbye to the Alecia we knew and loved forever.

She's always secretive about releasing. They're not even going to bother announcing anything until the album is finished and JLF has peaked.

If P!nk wrote another Dear Mr President, I feel like she'd actually release it to the US this time around. I'm kind of glad she didn't last time, or we would of had another case of the Dixie Chicks.

^ as much as i like dear mr. president, i'd rather have her write another gone to california. i just love when she brings her OWN life experience to the table and admired how she weaved it in with the social criticism. also, i find it sonically to be a damn masterpiece.

won't happen, i'm sure, but a guy can dream.

also, as for a US release, i'm sure it'll be "accepted" nowadays. back then only madonna could get away with these kind of things in mainstream music.

She basically did. It started airing on MTV and VH1 in 2007

The Dixie Chicks were ruined because they were a country act who slammed George Bush from London while saying they were ashamed he was from Texas. Their audience didn't like that.

However she decides to tackle issues, I just hope it's not acoustic. I'm tired of every album having a token acoustic song. It cheapens it.
