No they shouldn't have released the director's cut version...
It's always like that, a video comes up and then the director's cut, and everybody say they prefer the director's cut, if the director's cut was the first video instead, when the other popped out it would be much better than and blah blah blah...
The director/JIVE & SONY/Britney/Her team picked the version they thought the best...
The director's cut seriously looks like it's unfinished....
If it looks unfinished or not, it's your opinion. But I don't think that or "Britney, Jive and Director" chose this automatically makes the 2nd version worse. In the end it's all a matter of personal opinion, and I remember that, at least here, 95% of the people thought the Director's Cut was far superior.
It was too sensual and sexual. All around with the numerous sexual simulations they did onstage. Just perfect.
