it really had all the ingredients to become a hit, promo-wise (tv show theme song, performance, ellen premiere show NYC, behind the scenes video a month before...). but the song itself is just so forgettable with its run-of-the-mill yawn production that it was a little disheartening to see--yet totally understandable--that it didn't do so well. i can understand bridge of light not doing very well (although, it reached the top 10 in germany and even the top 3 in belgium) cause there was really next to no promo for it, despite it being in a sequel to a kiddie movie. at least i really like that song.
she honestly needs to spice things up. if she delivers yet again a bunch of today's the day type of kelly clarkson/avril lavigne songs, it's gonna be so hard for me to believe that this was the same woman who used to be so passionate about music.
at least i have her old albums and great performances to look back to if she decides to become a passionless RCA puppet for yet another decade.
