These snippets are very dull. My expectations weren't astronomically high but they didn't deliver.
The majority of the album sounds like variations of "Early Winter" and "Wonderful Life" off of The Sweet Escape.

They should've delivered spunk and edge, not beige pop songs.

I agree that on first listen the number of mid-tempos is overwhelming but that doesn't necessarily mean bad. I'm honestly hooked to every song now, you have to give them a few listens. They each have their own quirks in sound and a majority of them don't sound like anything else out there right now.

At the same time, last summer, Rolling Stone and EW posted this review of OMS:

"One More Summer" updates the band's ska-pop sound with pounding dance beats, arena-size guitars and a beyond-catchy chorus.

A catchy driving with the top down single featuring synths, hand claps, and New Order-esque guitars.

Do you hear any of pounding dance beats, arena-size guitars in that "One More Summer" preview? Sadly, it seems that some of album direction changed after it got postponed last year.
