Like I said, it's sad that a young kid had to experience this, but it took him a shorter time to learn the history of blackface or the gist of it at least. Too bad it took his parents years to accomplish that.

Just because it's not ordinary to wear a KKK outfit it would still be inappropriate for someone to dress up in one and especially if a parent doesn't do right by their child and explain why it's inappropriate.
The color of MLK's skin is insignificant in this whole thing, especially given that whole speech. He could have portrayed Martin without the face paint and gotten his point across well enough to get that A and not offend people.
I don't see the problem. King's skin color is just part of who he was as a human being. It's a bit disappointing that skin color still can get people this sensitive, but that's the world we live in.
