08. Rihanna feat. Jay-Z - UMBRELLA
"When the sun shines, we'll shine together
Told you I'll be here forever
Said I'll always be your friend
Took a note I'mma stick it out 'till the end
Now that it's raining more than ever
Know that we'll still have each other..."

I think it's:
"Took an oath I'mma stick it out 'till the end"
Great c/d 5/5

Yes it is, and not that this is an excuse or anything, but I was lukcy I managed to post these last few days, I was using my cell phone connection, which means it was an awful way to post anywhere! lol So, I wasn't really paying attention to my english or, in that case, to the exact lyrics!

I like Britney, Mehanna and Maroon 5. Beyonka's song was a little bit overplayed and Daughtry I don't give a crap.

Anthony's Best Of 2007 - NEW UPDATE: Top 10 Albums is HERE!!!
These are my favourite albums of 2007. Some were released in 2006, but only managed to get my love this... Oops, last year! Btw, once the album charts, it can't chart again the year after - That's pretty much why Snow Patrol's 'Eyes Open' and Nelly Furtado's 'Loose' didn't make the Top 10 this year.
10. Hilary Duff - DIGNITY
Favourite tracks: With Love, Stranger, Gipsy Woman
Ok, 2007 was full of surprises. But this album was definitely the biggest one. I mean, knowing how mediocre Duff's previous works are, who could expect her to release something actually good? The singles did a pretty good job on selling this album to me. 'With Love' is catchy as hell and the 'Stranger' video is great, in my opinion.
09. Lifehouse - Who We Are
Favourite tracks: Whatever It Takes, First Time, Broken
Lifehouse is one of those bands you like some singles, end up overplaying these, but never really find the, let's say, time to appreciate the full work. For the first time I did that, I mean, listened to the whole album, and I was definitely not disappointed. Not to mention 'Whatever It Takes' is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
08. Michael Bublé - CALL ME IRRESPONSIBLE
Favourite tracks: Everything, Call Me Irresponsible, Comin' Home Baby
A friend of mine forced me to like Bublé - and I always find him too boring. However, I fell in love with 'Everything' and I had to buy the album. I confess you have to be in the mood to hear his songs and albums, but you can't deny he's one of the best singers in what he does.
07. Beyoncé - B'DAY [Deluxe Edition]
Favourite tracks: Irreplaceable, Get Me Bodied, Upgrade U
'Are you ready to be entertained?'. Yes, Beyoncé Knowles. Specially after your groundbreaking Video Anthology. Man, you have to at least respect this woman. I truly admire her being such a workaholic.
06. Jordin Sparks - JORDIN SPARKS
Favourite tracks: Freeze, No Air, Tattoo
I never expected to like Jordin's album, just like I never wanted her to win American Idol. So, this is another surprise. Her album is awesome, simple as that. I only don't like that much 'God Loves Ugly'. But that's one song out of 13. So, congrats, Jordin. You're on my list just like a tattoo.
05. Fergie - THE DUTCHESS
Favourite tracks: Big Girls Don't Cry, Clumsy, Fergalicious
Hit after hit. And great tune after great tune. How does someone manage to release the best songs of an album? I gotta say, this is something rare, and Fergie Ferg did it. Although I completely hate some tracks in this album - 'Mary Jane Shoes' is an example - I just love the others enough to rank this as my 5th favourite album of 2007.
04. Rihanna - GOOD GIRL GONE BAD
Favourite tracks: Hate That I Love You, Umbrella, Good Girl Gone Bad
Yeah, yeah, another surprise. I never saw Rihanna as more than 'one of those who dream they could be Beyoncé' kind of singers. Her two first albums are terrible, full of fillers, with one or, if she's lucky, two good singles. So, it was difficult to realize and admit 'GGGB' is a solid work, made of several possible single choices and many hits. And she got those hits! Now let's just hope she calms down and doesn't release another album this summer - So this way she will, maybe, start selling albums too, when she releases her next one.
03. Maroon 5 - IT WON'T BE SOON BEFORE LONG
Favourite tracks: Nothing Lasts Forever, Goodnight Goodnight, Makes Me Wonder
"This is better than 'Songs About Jane'!; Hell no, it's no way as good as 'Songs About Jane'!". I'm still trying to figure that out, but all I know is Maroon 5 delivered a brilliant sophomore album, and that's more than enough.
02. Kelly Clarkson - MY DECEMBER
Favourite tracks: Sober, Judas, Haunted
This album only won me after the third or fourth listen. In the first listens, I was like 'wtf is Kelly thinking?'. But then I understand this album is not about hit radio songs like 'Breakaway'. And it went on to become my favourite album for a long time.
01. Britney Spears - BLACKOUT
Favourite tracks: Piece Of Me, Gimme More, Get Naked (I Got A Plan), Toy Soldier, Break The Ice
No, I simply can not pick 3 favourite songs from this critic's and public's acclaimed MASTERPIECE. Gosh, it was almost impossible to choose 5. After listening to 'Blackout', and after all that happened to Britney this year, I have to say there's really truth in what some people say about the best work things coming during and from your worst and darkest times.
It honestly amazes me how she managed to make such a wonderful album. Haters (and here I include some biased critics) can say it's only a producers' job, but in the end even those know that without the Legendary Britney Spears, those songs wouldn't have half the life and quality they have.
That said, yeah, I know, 'cause I myself already said that many times before: Britney is about her image, and she needs to actually BE THERE for her albums to make them sell. I truly hope she will still recover, get herself together, act like a grown-up adult and professional and find the time to show she cares. But it doesn't change the fact that the majority of the world, not only the USA, has such a bad taste, since even without promo this album should be selling at least TWICE what it's sold so far.
I'm afraid of what's gonna happen to ATRL tomorrow, so be ready: tomorrow I'm probably finishing 2007's list with my TOP 5 SINGLES!!! Make sure you're here to watch and be SURPRISED.

Hmm, I think Hilary has always proven that she can have good songs, but that she can't really sing. Which I still believe, but now those songs are also danceable and have great remixes, so yay. I thought Beyonce's bonus videos were kinda meh, besides the Get Me Bodied Extended Mix. Jordin...I like the two singles. Fergie, by releasing Finally, will have released all the songs on her albums deserving single status. Same with Rihanna with Rehab/Breakin' Dishes, though I didn't think of her as a wannabe, since she did have a good number of hit singles and as of yet her album isn't that much better-selling than her last one, but maybe her other albums didn't have more songs single-worthy? Britney and Kelly are llllllllllloverly.
