I asked you that question, and you answered with "SEE, ITS CULTURAL APPROPRIATION." Now explain to me why cultural appropriation is bad and shouldn't be done.

Cultural appropriation is not new and most people don't give a damn one way or another. Gwen did it with harajukus, and she never got backlash. Nobody cares when white artists wear grillz or when Justin Bieber sags his pants and raps. Nobody gives a **** if someone who isn't black has dreadlocks.

MILEY is the difference, you don't seem to understand that. Her cultural appropriation is "bad" because it is almost always at the expense of others as well as herself. Miley uses black people as a tool of objectification.

Most of us whether part of a minority group or majority group have delved into cultural appropriation at least once. Cultural appropriation is not synonymous with bad, but Miley's IS.

If Miley had said something similar to what Gwen did, “I’m fascinated by the Japanese fashion scene/Just an American girl in the Tokyo streets.”

& toned down her tackiness, upped her authenticity, and made less Worldstar visits many wouldn't bat an eyelash at her "cultural appropriation", but rather primarily focus on her hypersexualization.

They are props. Just like the women in Blurred Lines were props.

Everything you bring in to a music video for the purpose of making the video seem more ethnic is a prop. From gold chains to black women twerking in the background.
