Lighting Bolt is their best work in decades so props to them still making music. I did like 17 Crimes and I will be sure to check out their album to see if it is good as you claim to be. Hope their sound can still be good esp. that alterative rock has changed their trend from their sound to anew. Volbeat do rock so hard that it hurrts in a good way. Like all the singles/videos from them and I should now check their album at anytime esp. that My Body cover. Must hear the Korn album. I did like Never Never.
I really loved RAM and all the mix of funk ,disco, & the 70s/80s dance influences that they morphed to a work of genius. Great take on the highlights of the album esp. Touch since that song is just a time warp of epicness. As of the #1, I did like the first two singles and it was all decent. I should listen to those to get a better view of it along with listening to the album, which I once do, I will make sure to hear it more than once since that is the secret to liking it and appreciate in a greater value as you find super well. Overall good albums list.
Now keep cooking up that top 100 songs of the year as I eagerly await all the great music and blurbs to come out of the oven.
I love your write-up for Like Clockwork. That album is really something else, completely destroys me every time I listen. I Sat By The Ocean and I Appear Missing are my favorites. It's just amazing how these songs get to you. Well deserved #1.
Random Access Memories is a great album and will definitely be on my list. As for Queens Of The Stone Age, I've only heard like 2 songs but it seemed pretty good, I'll look into the whole album.
Random Access Memories is one of the best albums from 2013, it's just amazing from start to finish I love every song of that album, Daft Punk is definitely my favorite comeback of 2013
Queens of the Stone Age... haven't heard their last album, but I should if it's your favorite album of the year, it has to be good
