I admire Beyonce's voice more than I love it. She can sing and dance at the same time like no one else. But it doesn't really do that much for me emotionally. I'm more focused on the fact that she can sing and dance at the same time or the fact that she sounds just like the CD than lost in the feeling she's trying to evoke. She's sort of like Natalie Portman in Black Swan - technically she's unmatched, but when it comes to letting go and making me feel it, she can be matched and surpassed.
Emotion comes from sounding human and flawed, not necessarily from perfection. It's a matter of personal preference.
Pretty much what I wrote:

Listening to Gaga live is like "omg wtf"... cos it's so different from cd and has way more emotion.
When Beyonce sings live she seems to care for impressing people with being able to hit certain notes and being able to do a certain vocal runs which takes away from other more important things.
When Gaga sings live, she gets lost in it, she is in her own artistic world, driven by emotion rather than technique.
Sis I know. You post that golden YT video and the gerl comes up with Paper Gangsta??!!
I mean i'm still confused on what posting that after my video proved at all? That beyonce further ***** more than the other in "Rap-Singing" ? No artist/vocalist in todays time can come for Bey's fast singing technique.

Ooook, Nicole.
Her Live recordings sound quite different from her CD tracks. Maybe you should investigate before making such a strong claim.
As long as they know. I DO love Gaga's voice, though.
No... From this I can tell you never listened to the whole thing...
I actually have. It showed my favorite thing Beyonce does with her voice which is dynamic phrasing.
It's cute you think I'm a hater but no. Beyonce is a vocalist Gaga isn't
This video doesn't show why Beyonce is a voice of a generation.

That wasn't the point she was going for.
It's that her aim for flawless vocal technique detracts from actual human imperfection, thus creating emotional resonance.

The post said that no other artist in the industry could "rap-sing", as you say.
Gaga clearly can. She did it in Paper Gangster. Was it as good as Bey? No, but she did it. You never asked who does it better. You claimed that nobody else could do it at all.

Beyonce by far has the better singing voice (and talking voice). Also, a bit off topic, I must say her music is better as well. Listening to Beyonce is like going to a real uppity restaurant. Where they give you like four different forks. It's wholesome and make you feel classy.
Listening to Gaga is like going to McDonald's - get me in, eat the good stuff, and get me outta here!!

OOP
BTW her staccato/rap-singing is the reason why I dig her so, so much. I couldn't explain why I loved Beyoncé's voice that much but I think I finally got the explanation.
Run The World, Upgrade You, Diva, Video Phone (sans Gaga), Countdown, Kitty Kat **** and are among my ultimate fav songs.
Beyoncé is so good at this

The point I'm trying to make is that flawless execution of technique doesn't kill the emotion in a song. She growls, "screams" (as other stanbases call it), and every other little thing not heard on her CD tracks. You're probably not gonna watch this next video, but this is the sum of what I'm saying.
I definitely connect more when watching and hearing Gaga live, but I guess that's because she is more of an artist than Bey.
Bey can sing better, but she kinda sounds like any homegirl who can belt.
You posting videos isn't gonna help.. I've seen them all. They've never done anything for me and lots of people agree.
Just get over it. Bey has been criticized for this before. If you disagree with them, then fine. It's just an opinion.

This "connecting" ******** needs to stop.
It doesn't even make sense in the context you guys are trying to explain it. All that simply means is that you can relate better to Gaga's subject material. All that "I'm born this way" stuff does nothing for me. Beyonce gets down to my SOUL. Especially with tracks like 1+1 (live or studio), Love On Top (live or studio), and Rather Die Young (live).

Performance-wise, Gaga takes it.
Not the point. Take it elsewhere before you start a stan war.
