I sort of came to the realization this morning that there's probably no way we're getting the first single or the album until Fall. if it were going to be released this summer, we would have heard something by now.

"Call Me Maybe" is the undisputed song of the summer. it was released digitally in the U.S. in February and is still dominating iTunes and climbing at radio. you need an earlier release to have a summer anthem and Ke$ha has already missed the boat.

I'm starting to accept it.

Call me maybe needed time to get known tho. Ke$ha is more well rounded and know to anyone that I dont there there is a need for worry if she released a summer anthem in june.. but no later tho!!!

It could be part of the worldwide promo for the new single/album. August seems pretty late for "summer jams", so I don't think it would be the premiere. Summer Sonic is a music festival, btw. Also, 4 of the Get $leazy Tour dates in Japan were postponed because of the earthquake, so this could be compensation for that.

She won't premiere it there, but they're probably just performances to promote the single WW. RCA won't let her flop so they're already scheduling some performance now.

My guess is that they'll release the first single at the end of June
