Also I remember I read this 'ew'-worthy **** about John at a legit gossip site. He flirted hard-core with a girl, and asked her to have sex with him straight forward, just to show how cool he was to his friend from College Humor.

John Mayer tries to pick up woman using 'Fifty Shades of Grey'
John Mayer has confessed that his latest effort to pick up a woman involved singing her a page of the erotic novel "Fifty Shades of Grey."
While Mayer said last week that he has been on a self-imposed exile for two years learning to be "33 and 34 instead of 28 for the fourth year," the singer may not grown up as much as he had hoped. During an appearance last night on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," Mayer revealed his latest attempt to bed an attractive woman.
"I was trying to impress her and she had 'Fifty Shades of Grey' on her Kindle. I said, 'I'm going to sing it to you,'" recalls Mayer. "So I end up singing her one of the pages of 'Fifty Shades of Grey.'"
Mayer's effort, however was not successful.
"She fell on the ground laughing," explained Mayer.
Perhaps the problem wasn't so much Mayer's singing as it was the wide-brimmed hat that he has taken to wearing while promoting his newest album, "Born and Raised." The guitar whiz justified his choice of headwear to Fallon.
"I don't care what the internet says about my hat," he said. "And I think that's an allegory for anything in life."
Or perhaps Mayer's "Fifty Shades of Grey" pick-up failed because the woman remembered his comments about his famous exes Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston in 2010. In back-to-back interviews, Mayer said that Simpson was "sexual napalm" and said of Aniston "I wish I could be with her." Mayer has said that the two candid interviews led him to take a two-year hiatus in his career.

John Mayer is still John Mayer. He even once hooked up with a B list, from the Blind Item reports, in '09. Around the time when he started with Taylor.
