To get good ratings, I think WGWGs are needed. If Nigel bans WGWG on Idol Season 12, ratings will be horrible like X Factor. In fact, Simon will probably have a bunch of WGWG (in the form of a boyband....think One Direction with guitars) for Season 2. That will be ratings gold!

You make a good point.
Only thing that bothers me is trying to explain a year from now to noobs why their favorite woman/minority will inevitably lose to WGWG#6, don't you have a doubt he is somewhere in America right now thinking about auditioning.
